CHIKFILA NIGHT– Come out to Chickfila (Lassiter Location) on Shallowford & Sandy Plains on January 9th between 5pm and 8pm. 10% of all receipts deposited in the Receipt boxes at the register and all orders placed through the Community Cares event using your Chick-fil-A One App will be donated back to Kincaid.  This includes Mobile drive thru, Curbside, Mobile Pickup and Mobile dine in (these will be calculated through the App a receipt is not necessary).

SCIENCE FAIR APPLICATIONS
DUE JANUARY 16th!

2nd Grade – 5th Grade Parents ~ Does your child have a love for science and the world around them? Then Kincaid’s Science Fair is a great opportunity to let them showcase their love for science! The deadline for the application is Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

After reading through the application packet, if you need information or input about the process or ideas for a project just email Mrs. Gillett at page.gillett@cobbk12.org.

READING CELEBRATION
JANUARY 18th
6:30 – 8:00 PM

Kincaid students have read over 1,000,000 minutes this year and we are ready to celebrate! You are invited to Bedtime, Books & Beanstack Thursday, January 19th, from 6:30 – 8:00!  Come enjoy this family event of story times, bedtime snacks, and prizes. Pajama attire will add to the fun!

ASP AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS
REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Registration is open for Spring Afterschool Clubs, which will begin the week of January 29th. You must re-register if you want to participate in clubs again. Please click on this attachment for days and times of each club, prices, and links for registrations.

Some clubs are still accepting students, while others are starting to be on a wait list.  The firm deadline to register is January 19th.  Please email kathy.parks@cobbk12.org if you have any questions.

USE A WRITING CHECKLIST

Each grade-level has a writing checklist, which indicates expectations within student writing.  Ask your child’s teacher for a copy of these expectations and take the challenge to have a copy available when writing within the home.  This is a great way for students to see that the expectations remain the same in both environments.
